Study day at the \u00c9cole Militaire<\/h2>\n

To mark the centenary of the Armistice, the Chair in Defence Economics<\/strong> organises the 10 October 2018<\/strong> a study day on the theme \u00abLes morts de la Grande Guerre: Hasard ou d\u00e9terminisme?.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Objectives:<\/h2>\n

The aim of this study day is to bring together researchers<\/strong> having worked during the period 2014-2018 on the analysis of the Great War dead in previously unexplored dimensions<\/strong>, These include cliometric, statistical, demographic, micro- and macro-econometric, strategic, operational research and geomatics analysis.<\/p>\n

This study day has a threefold purpose\u00a0<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

1) restore original and innovative work<\/strong>\u00a0;<\/p>\n

2) to bring this work together with a view to a publication in a history book<\/strong> in French to a wide audience, such is the passion with which many of our fellow citizens are drawn;<\/p>\n

3) to target the day at the \u00c9cole Militaire, a public of journalists (<\/strong>written press, radio, TV) to ensure that our ideas get the most coverage. wide audience and visibility<\/strong> in the week leading up to the centenary of the Armistice of 11 November 1918.<\/p>\n
