The<strong> Chair in Defence Economics<\/strong> attended.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This Forum, organised jointly by the<strong>\u2019IRSEM<\/strong> and by the Applied Economics Unit of the\u2019<strong>ENSTA ParisTech<\/strong> with the support of <strong>DGA <\/strong>was to encourage exchanges between <strong>academic and operational worlds<\/strong> on defence and conflict issues<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Julien_Malizard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Julien Malizard<\/a>,<\/strong> researcher at <strong>Chair in Defence Economics<\/strong> took part in the first round table on the links between arms exports and the defence technological and industrial base (DTIB).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">In particular, he studied <strong>the shape of the arms transfer market<\/strong>, oligopolistic type with a <strong>highly concentrated offer<\/strong> between a few producer countries and a <strong>more fragmented demand<\/strong> in a multitude of countries.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">In theory, this should lead to a <strong>greater market power for producer countries<\/strong>.
