{"id":1178,"date":"2019-07-11T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-07-11T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ecodef-ihedn.fr\/intervention-de-josselin-droff-a-la-114-eme-session-ihedn-jeunes-rennes-9-juillet-2019\/"},"modified":"2020-05-27T10:56:01","modified_gmt":"2020-05-27T10:56:01","slug":"intervention-de-josselin-droff-a-la-114-eme-session-ihedn-jeunes-rennes-9-juillet-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ecodef-ihedn.fr\/en\/intervention-de-josselin-droff-a-la-114-eme-session-ihedn-jeunes-rennes-9-juillet-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Speech by Josselin Droff at the 114th \u00abIHEDN-Youth\u00bb session, Rennes, 9 July 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Josselin Droff<\/strong>, researcher at the<strong> Chair in Defence Economics<\/strong> spoke at the <strong>114th \u00abIHEDN-Youth\u00bb session\u00bb<\/strong>, on Tuesday 9 July 2019 at the \u00c9cole des Transmissions in Cesson-S\u00e9vign\u00e9 (Rennes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>For over 30 years<\/strong>, l\u2019<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"IHEDN (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ihedn.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\">IHEDN<\/a> is setting up <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"specific training (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ihedn.fr\/formation\/cycles-ihedn-jeunes\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>specific training<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>for the attention of <strong>young students or working people<\/strong>, aged between twenty and thirty.  The aim of these sessions is to raise awareness of the major issues and challenges facing national defence and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The intervention of <strong>Josselin Droff<\/strong> was entitled\u00ab\u00a0<em>France's DTIB between economic and strategic challenges<\/em>\u00ab . The aim was to present the <strong>main characteristics of the Defence Technological and Industrial Base (DTIB)<\/strong> <em>via<\/em> a division into <strong>three geographical levels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visit <strong>national level<\/strong> <strong>(1) <\/strong>with a presentation of the main characteristics of the DTIB (jobs, nature of activities, innovation and R&amp;D) and the main challenges in economic and strategic terms (national sovereignty, strategic autonomy). At <strong>sub-national level (2)<\/strong> with a presentation of defence industry activities at regional level and the challenges in terms of structuring the regional economic fabric.
