His presentation was entitled: \u00ab\u00a0<strong>The economic method and defence research<\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He spoke about <strong>specific features of the defence economy<\/strong> at a round table discussion on <strong>methodological issues in security and defence<\/strong>. Chaired by<strong> Professor Christian Vallar<\/strong> (University of Nice), this round table also brought together <strong>Mayeul Kauffman<\/strong> (economist, University of Grenoble-Alpes),  <strong>Delphine Deschaux-Dutard<\/strong> (political scientist, University of Grenoble-Alpes),  <strong>Anne-Sophie Traversac <\/strong>(publicist, Universit\u00e9 Paris 2), <strong>Christophe Aubertin<\/strong> (privatist, Universit\u00e9 Paris 5) and <strong>S\u00e9bastien Jakubowski<\/strong>  (sociologist, INSPE Lille)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His talk focused on<strong> the tools of the defence economy<\/strong> (theoretical and empirical approaches) but also the difficulties inherent in the lack of economic evaluation of security and defence concepts.
