Researchers from the Chair of Defence Economics - IHEDN took part in the CEMS Air \u00abDefence Economics\u00bb round table. <\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Josselin Droff<\/a>,<\/strong> researcher at the Chair, and Julien Malizard<\/a><\/strong>, the Chair's deputy holder, spoke on Friday 12 March 2021 at the CESM<\/a> (Centre d'Etude Strat\u00e9gique de la Marine) at a CEMS Air round table<\/a> (Centre d'Enseignement Militaire Sup\u00e9rieur) dedicated to the\u2019defence economics <\/strong>and the challenges of Defence Industrial and Technological Base<\/strong> (BITD).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The researchers discussed economic impact and spin-offs<\/strong> linked to the existence of a DTIB. The issues at\u2019national and regional <\/strong>were discussed (income and job multipliers, long-term impact on innovation and the industrial fabric) as well as international issues<\/strong> through the theme of arms exports. The round table also discussed\u2019methodological elements<\/strong> on the construction of defence budgets, the measurement of jobs, available sources and the possibilities of international comparisons.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
