Using data collected in the Military Balance, the fleet of fighter aircraft, helicopters, transport aircraft and UAVs is analysed in detail: each aircraft is identified according to the manufacturer's origin and the year it was brought into service. Using this data, two dynamics of the Europeanisation process are examined in a market analysis: on the supply side, the trend towards industrial cooperation suggests a potential for rationalisation of the industrial base (in the case of helicopters and transport aircraft), while on the demand side, common needs or the integration of Eastern European countries suggest new outlets. The results indicate that the dynamics of Europeanisation are uneven across markets (relatively weak in fighter aircraft and significant in helicopters) and that no common European acquisition strategy is emerging.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Jade Guiberteau and Julien Malizard discussed the two papers presented during the workshop. The first looked at the role of international sanctions on Russian arms exports.
