This book provides an overview of French and international economic literature that is both exhaustive and accessible to a wide audience of non-specialists.<\/p>\n<p>After analysing defence budgets and the defence industry, he looks at public procurement (awarding of contracts, contractual clauses, performance conditions). It examines the determinants, difficulties and methods of recruitment for the armed forces, as well as outsourcing through the use of partnership contracts and private military companies.
