La 23rd International Conference on Economics and Security (ICES - International Conference on Economics and Security) will take place from 26 to 29 June 2019 in Madrid (Spain), at the’Instituto Universitario General Gutierrez Mellado.
It will be organised by Carlos Martí Sempere (Instituto Gutiérrez Mellado), Paul Dunne (University of Cape Town) and Antonio Fonfría Mesa (Universidad Complutense de Madrid).
Since now more than 20 years, This international conference is an opportunity for economists, political scientists and other researchers from all over the world to present their work in the field of’defence, security and peace economics (for more information on past editions of this conference, click here).
The researchers from the defence economics chair have been taking part in this conference for a number of years, which provides an opportunity to cover different research themes in defence and security economics (non-exhaustive list):

Deadlines : Proposals for papers (abstracts of 300 words maximum) should be submitted to the conference organisers by 1st April 2019 at the latest.
