Le Ministry of the Armed Forces rewards the best academic production in defence economics with the defence economics prize. this prize is endowed with 5,000 euros.

In 2015, the prize was awarded to Josselin Droff, researcher at Chair in Defence Economics for his doctoral thesis in economics entitled: «Lhe space factor in defence economics: application to the operational readiness of defence equipment »supported by’University of Western Brittany (UBO) in November 2013.
