«The Sahel, a synthesis of Africa's challenges and emergencies»: Camille Laville takes part in the IGPSA webinar

Camille Laville, Chair researcher, took part in the webinar “The Sahel, a synthesis of Africa's challenges and emergencies”.”, organised on 17 October by the’Global Initiative for Peace and Security in Africa (GIPSA).

The discussions focused on’impact of global crises on the Sahel. The juxtaposition of crises is having a considerable impact on the Sahel region, which is already weakened by the persistence of chronic insecurity and major inequalities in development. The region is therefore a veritable A laboratory of the challenges and urgent issues facing African states and their Western partners.

Camille Laville gave her vision of the situation in the Sahel, summarising the challenges and urgent issues facing Africa, It is subject to local, regional and international pressures (endogenous and exogenous).
