Jean Belin presented the challenges facing the DTIB to the 225 delegates.e IHEDN regional session (Nouvelle-Aquitaine), this Friday 4 Februaryr in Limoges.

Jean Belin, Chair, gave a presentation to the audience of the 225th regional session of the IHEDN (Nouvelle-Aquitaine) an overview of the French DTIB (Defence Technological and Industrial Base), highlighting the methodological difficulties involved in defining and measuring it.

Drawing on the work carried out by the Chair, he highlighted the specific characteristics of defence companies, the changing environments they face and their adaptation strategies.

The 48 participants in this session are managers from a wide range of backgrounds, from the public and private sectors, military and civilian. They will engage in high-level strategic thinking, with a regional dimension, based in 4 towns in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region: La Rochelle, Limoges, Brive-la-Gaillarde and Bordeaux.

For 4 weeks, listeners to IHEDN regional sessions benefit from the academic triptych specific to IHEDN: high-level lectures, visits to military, civilian and industrial sites, and committee work.
