Josselin Droff and Julien Malizard have published a article in the March issue of RDN.
Entitled «Threats, public goods and the demand for European defence», it discusses the new forms of threat affecting the European Union and generating common needs that can be met collectively. There is a risk that some member states will not contribute enough.
The authors stress the risk that the European Union will be divided between countries that have agreed on the triptych of threats/needs/responses and those that would prefer to favour national solutions.
