«What future for the European DTIB? The Chair takes part in the Paris defence and strategy forum (PDSF)

Julien Malizard moderated the round table «What future for the European DTIB?» as part of the first edition of the Paris defence and strategy forum (PDSF) of the’Defence Academy of the École Militaire (ACADEM).

Whereas the European Defence Technological and Industrial Base (EDTIB) is undergoing major changes Given the war in Ukraine and the rise in demand for military equipment, what does the future hold for the latter?

While the European Union has put in place a number of instruments to support the European defence industry (European Defence Fund, EDIRPA, ASAP) and plans to set up a European Defence Agency (EDA), it has not yet done so. «European Defence Industrial Strategy», How do Europeans see the future of the EDTIB?

How to reconciling short-term objectives (restocking, equipment deliveries to Ukraine) and long-term (development of a competitive and resilient EDTIB)?
